The customer service team is very unprofessional and we're sarcastic and rude about financials, doubting and mocking an income entered in financing application. The salesman was helpful but the approach and attitude from the sales team in general was very similar to used-car processes and tactics. do not settle at whatever sale prices are offered in the store.. the system is designed to have customers pay as much as they are willing. I left and was able to negotiate an additional very substantial discount (around $1,000 more reduced on a roughly $4500 purchase.) I normally would not have an issue or even mention those type of tactics because I understand its the position. My main complaint is the sheer unprofessional treatment from the ladies at the customer service desk. They made the experience from pleasant to very distasteful. You have no right to discriminate and doubt an income of a customer and then when saying there is a deposit necessary that was also said in an unprofessional manner. I ended up coming in and paying my $2500 deposit on the project ONLY because I was able to get a good deal after leaving the store. If you would like to doubt someones income ask them for proof which could have easily been provided. Customer service ruined the experience at this location, if I go to Ashley Furniture in the future.. It will not be this location.
This company needs to figure out what they are doing... It all started well. I went and purchased furniture, cool salesman was helpful, they matched online price. Their shipping period was long but at that time it was not an issue, however it later changed. So we went to go return the furniture. For some reason you can't do it over the phone, which was frustrating but you can move past that. So i went to the store, and they tell me 10% cancellation fee..... Online it states that you can cancel without issue as long as its 48 hours before delivery... at this point we didnt even know when it was supposed to be... The girl at the desk just kept reading me whats on the back of the paper for the purchase and would not honor the policy. Then she told me it is a corporate policy they are a franchise. Cool, that is fine. So online states no fee, that is the corporate policy. She said "No the store, online and corporate all have separate policies"....After which, I tried and they would not budge. So I paid it and will file a claim through my CC since they honor the benefits their "online company" puts forth.
