I could not have asked for a more professional, friendly and supportive staff of vets and surgeons to take care of my beloved dog. Dr. Walesby is a wonderful surgeon and clearly an animal lover. Even if you are considering services elsewhere, I highly recommend a visit to MD Vet and Surgical

My experience with Maryland Veterinary Surgical Services was outstanding. When we went in for consultation, Dr. Walesby was clear, kind, and attentive, as well as the rest of the staff. They all care for the pets that walk in their door as if they were their own. Not only did the office call to tell me they were about to start my dogs surgery, and when the surgery was finished (with a brief "everything went well, and she is resting comfortably"), but Dr. Walesby also called me personally, later that evening to talk about how it went in more detail, and answer any additional questions I had. When I went back to pick up my dog, a young man (I believe his name was Josh?) patiently explained the medications and instructions during healing, also being sure to answer any questions I had. The next day after I brought my dog home, Dr Walesby called me again, to check on her. All in all, I hope my dog never needs surgery again, but if she does, I will definitely go back to Maryland Veterinary Surgical Services.
My dog had a torn ACL...his second. Compared to the experiance with another vet for the 1st ACL, Dr. Walsby and her team were awesome. Rita was great to talk to . She explained the process for my dogs consultation and subsequent surgery. Post Op, the vet techs did awonderful and thorough job of explaining the medicine and post op care. Dr. Walesby actually called to go over some results from a biopsy that was done at the time of the ACL Surgery. She was very knowledgable and professional. She offered me different options for future care of my dog and was understanding to my specific situation. I would highly recommend Dr. Walesby for and Maryland Veternary Surgical for their services
Excellent! Dr. W. was patient and understanding with all of our questions and concerns. Answered everything thoroughly, and told us all of our options. Sugery was wonderfully successful and recovery was just as great for our 11 year old dog. Her techs were just as caring and professional! I highly recommend her for any specialized surgery you pet needs.
