I'm a Trader Joe's kinda guy, but my experience here was just fine. You need a quarter to release a shopping cart and to do your own bagging but the prices are good and the food we've eaten has been all quality. Selection is more limited than TJ'S so beware you may need to hit a few other spots as well..

Update Alert.. Just learned Trader Joe's is owned by Aldi.

This is a really nice Aldi and it may surprise you if you are a very healthy eater that you can find awesome, 'real food' choices here. You can get a lot of organic items here like marinara sauce with no added sugars, lots of organic produce, coconut milk and almond milk (though they do contain carrageenan), organic milk (though it's more expensive here than Whole Foods and Wegmans), great deals on canned goods and dried beans, gluten free options, whole wheat flour, 85% dark chocolate, and even some goat cheese!

I don't know what I'd do without my Aldi. I only started shopping there when I moved to Maryland. We had one where are used to live, but I didn't know anything about it. I am so glad that I tried it out. It is the best grocery store for myself and my family. Super affordable and the food is good quality. If you've never tried it out, give it a go. You'll be glad you did! The one nearest to me just got a facelift and while it is super nice, I was so used to the way that it used to be that I am lost in there now. It will probably take me a few more trips before I got it down again.

Great experience shopping here. Food is more affordable than normal grocery store. Saved us tons on our monthly budget. Staff is all friendly, most food items are stocked. Save about 30% on items. Milk at 1.99 is a steal for a gallon. Wish there were more stores nearby in Ellicott City or Columbia. Love the renovation! Open, Clean and Clear!

I love the prices here, can't be beat! The cashiers need to be careful when checking out. They often place fragile items underneath the rest of the groceries. I always have to ask them to place soft veggies and bread in the top of the cart. I always tell everyone about the great prices!

They recently renovated and the store looks gorgeous, has a lot of new inexpensive and fun products, and has new shopping carts.
